People get very excited when we show them the full range of colours as they still remember cork being only brown. More and more people are getting cork throughout their whole house instead of wooden floors because of the extra insulation benefits that cork gives as well as a stunning designer look -most popular is large 450mm square tiles.

The fact that cork is a sustainable product is a bonus for most buyers, although

Cork is perfect in wet areas such as laundries, bathrooms etc. People are often surprised by this until we remind them that cork is obviously impervious to liquids being that it sits in a wine bottle acting as a barrier between the wine and air!

One of the most exciting things about cork is that Cork Concepts can colour match to any colour scheme, we can do metallics and we are open to any innovative ideas from customers in terms of unique design. Cork Concepts are the world leaders in colouring cork and we are expanding into other countries to share our knowledge and expertise. The USA, UK and China are all very interested in what we are doing because we have developed an amazing colouring system so cork has never looked so good.

Cork is also ideal in childrens bedrooms or playing areas as the floor is soft and almost spongy for babies to crawl on. Cork doesn’t harbor dust-mites and is non allergenic. Kids love cork and adults can sit on the floor with them without getting cold.
-
One of the most common things people say about cork is that when someone drops something on it, more often than not, the thing (usually a wine glass) bounces!
-
Cork Concepts uses non-toxic polyurethane and our tiles can be laid in one day as they are prefinished. Cork is seen as a entirely positive flooring choice.
